asked the Secretary of State for Defence what representations his Department has recently received from (a) individuals and (b) groups in Strathkelvin district registering complaints about noise nuisance emanating from Inchterf Proof and Experimental Establishment.
§ Mr. Robert C. Brown
Representations from individuals have generally452W been in the form of telephone calls to the superintendent of the establishment. There have been 25 of those so far this year. Over the same period, the Department has received individual written complaints through the Rosebank, Oxgang and Langmuir Residents' Association, and has also been in correspondence with the Kirkintilloch Community Council and the Strathkelvin District Council on this subject. My colleagues and I have also, of course, received representations from the hon. Member herself and from my hon. Friend the Member for West Stirlingshire (Mr. Canavan).
