§ Mr. DuffyExercise Whisky Galore 78 took place in the Outer Hebrides and the Kyle of Lochalsh between 5th and 15th June. Royal Navy ships, United Kingdom and American aircraft and an Anglo-Dutch force—the United Kingdom-Netherland Amphibious Force—participated in the exercise, which is held annually to practice amphibious reinforcement in defence of NATO's northern flank.
