§ 13. Mr. Hannam
asked the Secretary of State for Energy what movements in real fuel prices his Department anticipates in the medium term.
§ Dr. John Cunningham
It is difficult to predict the course of energy prices in the medium term because of uncertainties 373W about movements in international oil prices. However, it has been forecast that the real price of oil might rise to perhaps more than double its present level by the end of the century, and other energy prices are likely to follow it.
