§ Mr. HoramMinibuses or locally arranged transport schemes catering for particular groups such as the elderly, the disabled, or the young, operate successfully in most rural areas. There are now about 140 post buses and five community minibus schemes providing transport for the public at large, and 13 out of the 16 experiments in the Government's programme of rural transport experiments are operating, although it is too soon to assess the results.
