§ 15. Mr. Thorneasked the Secretary of State for Transport whether he has any plans to develop public transport integration of Ribble, Crosfields and local authority services in the west and central Lancashire area.
§ Mr. HoramResponsibility for co-ordination of public transport services in non-metropolitan counties lies with the county councils under Section 203 of the Local Government Act 1972. Integration of Ribble and local bus services in Lancashire is therefore being carried out by the county council, which is negotiating agency agreements with the district councils and Ribble Motor Services152W Limited, under which Ribble operates as agents of the district council and its services are integrated with those of the municipal operator on a common fare scale.
