asked Her Majesty's Government:

(1) what was the total square footage of the seven office buildings acquired for offices for the administration of the wealth tax;

(2) how much of this has been relet to other Government or quasi-government offices; and

(3) how much has been let to private concerns.

(1) The Property Services Agency acquired the lease of seven buildings and initiated the construction of an eighth for capital tax purposes. Their total area is 360,382 sq. ft.

(2) 291,454 sq. ft. has been reallocated for alternative Government use.

(3) none.
