§ Mr. WellbelovedThe latest letter from Mrs. Muriel Dandy was received on 18th May 1978. In a reply dated 5th June 1978, my Department sought to repeat assurances that nothing in the Service medical records of her late husband Squadron Leader Leslie Dandy suggested in any way that he either contracted or suffered from everopholitis during his RAF Service, from which he retired in 1954.
