§ Mr. Parkasked the Secretary of State for Transport what information he has on the proportion of the transport supplementary grant to the West Midlands county council being used for public transport and what proportion for road works.
§ Mr. HoramTransport supplementary grant—TSG—for the West Midlands is £10.85 million in 1978–79 on approved transport expenditure of £42.95 million, of which £15 million is for public transport and £8.28 million is for construction—all figures at November 1976 prices. TSG is a block grant and county councils are free to use it as they wish.
