§ Mr. Cantasked the Secretary of State for Prices and Consumer Protection when he expects to introduce new regulations on the way garages display petrol prices, following his consultations with petrol companies, retailing associations and consumer groups.
§ Mr. MaclennanA consultative document describing the changes I announced to the House on 17th July was issued on 21st July. I hope to be able to lay an order embodying the changes in early September, to come into effect at the start of October.
