§ Mr. Brothertonasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department how 627W many letters he has received from members of the public since 1st January concerning the restoration of capital punishment; and, of that number, how many were in favour of such restoration.
§ Mr. Merlyn ReesUp to 20th July, I had received this year 92 letters from members of the public specifically about the restoration of capital punishment, of which 86 were in favour of restoration. The subject may also have been mentioned in more general letters along with other issues.
