asked the Secretary of State for Defence how many days are given to the study of, and training for, United Nations peacekeeping operations at the National Defence College, Latimer and at the Royal College of Defence Studies, Belgrave Square.

Each of these courses includes a lecture on the United Nations which covers peacekeeping operations. In addition, United Nations peacekeeping operations are considered in various contexts and figure among the subjects which students may choose for their research projects. The amount of time devoted to the subject varies considerably from course to course.
