Bury St. Edmunds Bypass

Mr. Eldon Griffiths

asked the Secretary of State for Transport when he expects work to commence on the spur from the central interchange on the Bury St. Edmunds bypass to the A143 north of that town.

Mr. Horam

Suffolk county council, as highway authority for principal road A143, is responsible for the scheme to link it to the Bury St. Edmunds bypass. It plans to start the work in the financial year 1981–82.
