§ Mr. GoldingIn Wales, about 53 per cent. of those aged 16 and over were in employment in June 1977, the latest date for which estimates are available. The corresponding figure for England is 59 per cent. These percentages have been based on the populations aged 16 and over because there are very few people at work under 16 years of age.
