§ Mr. Stephen Rossasked the Secretary of State for Transport why it was found necessary to seek larger premises for the local vehicle licensing office at Newport, Isle of Wight; and whether he is aware of the feeling that the offices should remain in the same town.
§ Mr. HoramPart of the old taxation office is required by the county council for its own use and the remaining accommodation is inadequate for the service we want to provide. I appreciate the concern expressed at the move from Newport but unfortunately no suitable premises were available there.
