§ Mr. Merlyn ReesNo additional staff were taken on between 1st January and 30th June, but 22 new posts are to be filled during July at a cost of £47,102 per annum in salaries. They will be employed to meet a number of pressures on the administration of the courts, including those arising from the Criminal Law Act 1977 and the Bail Act 1976.
