HC Deb 04 July 1978 vol 953 c115W
Mr. Grylls

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland how much public money was invested in the Greater Oriental Development Company Ltd. by the Scottish Development Agency; and if he will give the Agency a special direction to report on this case now that the company has gone into liquidation, in the light of the Comptroller and Auditor Generals report.

Mr. Gregor MacKenzie

The first part of this Question is a matter for the agency, but I would refer the hon. Member to the details contained in the agency's report to 31st March 1977, a copy of which is in the Library.

On the second part, as the hon. Member says, the case has already been reported upon by the Comptroller and Auditor General. This report is currently under consideration by the Public Accounts Committee and it would be inappropriate for me to make any comment at present.
