pursuant to his reply [Official Report, 29th June 1978; Vol. 952, c. 645], gave the following information:

The Government support the closest possible co-operation between the EEC and the ILO. Only States can be members of the ILO and the nine States of the EEC individually are long-standing members. A liaison agreement between the two organisations was concluded in 1958.
