§ Mr. George Rodgersasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department if he will elaborate his recent statement that proposals are being drawn up to change the disciplinary procedures relating to chief police officers.
§ Mr. Merlyn ReesI am not yet in a position to do so. But before the Summer Recess I hope to send to the local authority associations and the Association of Chief Police Officers a document setting out proposals for possible changes. Copies of the document will be placed in the Libraries of both Houses.
