§ Mr. MoyleThe request on the national cervical cytology form for the46W occupation of the husband or, if she is unmarried, that of the patient, is for research purposes. This information has provided valuable evidence on the incidence of cervical cancer in relation to social class and occupation, but the need for it is currently under review.
