Ian Paisleyasked the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland, in the light of the state of the wards for rheumatology and heart patients in the Musgrave Park Hospital, if he will make a statement upon the future rebuilding of those wards; and what grant of money is available for this purpose.
§ Mr. CarterThe Eastern Health and Social Services Board has established a joint working party with Department of Health and Social Services (NI) to review the provision of hospital services in the Board's area. Meanwhile, the rheumatology unit at Musgrave Park Hospital is being upgraded and refurbished. I understand that the Board does not at present have any plans for the medical unit, which accommodates heart patients.
