§ Mr. OakesSeveral of the national museums and galleries have important collections of photographs and photographic apparatus, and photography must always remain an important means of presentation for every museum. Proposals for the development of the photographic collections in each institution will be considered in the light of their potential contribution to the general work of the institution concerned and to the resources available.
