§ Mr. Stanbrookasked the Attorney-General how many prosecutions have been instituted for offences in relation to aircraft under the provisions of the Tokyo, Hague and Montreal Conventions, respectively, since the corresponding United Kingdom statutes were enacted.
§ The Attorney-GeneralFive prosecutions have been instituted under the Tokyo Convention Act 1967; one prosecution has been instituted under the Hijacking Act 1971 which gave effect to the Hague Convention for the Suppression of Unlawful Seizure of Aircraft; and one prosecution has been instituted under the Protection of Aircraft Act 1973 which gave effect to the Montreal Convention for the Suppression of Unlawful Acts against the Safety of Civil Aviation.
