§ Mr. Wrigglesworthasked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs when his Department's banking business was last put out to competitive tender.
§ Mr. TomlinsonAs the greater part of the banking business of the Foreign and Commonwealth Office is handled by the Paymaster General's office and most remittances overseas dealt with by the Bank of England, the need to obtain competitive tenders has never arisen, but quotations for the transmission of receipts to the Paymaster General's office through banking channels were obtained in 1975 and 1976.
