§ Mr. Blakerasked the Secretary of State for Industry what assessment he has made of the effect on the United Kingdom chemical industry of the agreement made for the supply of chemical manufacturing plants to the USSR under the Government's £950 million line of credit.
§ Mr. CryerSome of the output from these plants would almost certainly be sold on Western markets whoever built the chemical plants in the USSR. The credit available under the agreement helped win significant business for United Kingdom exporters of plant and equipment.
