§ Mr. Molloyasked the Secretary of State for Trade if he will consider calling a conference of those in the London boroughs affected by aircraft noise to examine the problem of aircraft noise, in view of growing concern on the matter.
§ Mr. Clinton DavisLocal authorities, amenity groups and individuals whose areas are affected by aircraft noise already have several channels through which they can bring these matters to my attention. In the case of the London boroughs, these include the Heathrow Airport Consultative Committee and the Local Authorities Aircraft Noise Council. I had a useful meeting with LAANC and other groups concerned specifically with aircraft noise around Heathrow in May 1977, and receive representations from them regularly. I believe that it is best to continue to work, so far as possible, through these existing channels.
