§ Mr. MeacherThe second session of the Common Fund conference was328W suspended on 1st December 1977, at the request of the developing countries. The final statement delivered at the session on behalf of the developed countries of Group B—reproduced in the Official Report of 7th December 1977, c. 726–8—included an assessment of progress achieved so far in the negotiations; and made clear that group B remains ready to continue the negotiations as soon as all groups can agree to do so.
