§ Mr. Trotterasked the Secretary of State for Social Services when he expects to receive the report on the allegation made by a 19-year-old Rhodesian girl that, since arriving in Great Britain five years ago, she had lived permanently on social security, out of which she paid for holidays in her own country.
§ Mr. OrmeThis report has been checked, both with the lady concerned and with the offices of my Department which would have dealt with any claims from her. On the basis of these inquiries, I am satisfied that she has never received supplementary benefit.
