(2) how many prosecutions were instituted over the last available year for nonpayment of broadcasting licences.
§ Mr. JohnThe Post Office, which undertakes prosecution for non-payment of television licence fees on behalf of the Home Office, instituted 57,503 prosecutions during the 1976–77 financial year. No record is maintained of those people prosecuted who were in receipt of supplementary benefit.
