Mr. Sillars

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland on what date the Scottish Development Department purchased the house at Caledon, Bridgemill, Girvan; when demolition is expected to take place; and if, until then, the house can be made available as temporary accommodation to the social work department.

The property known as Caledon, Bridgemill was purchased on 16th January 1978, and is unlikely to be demolished until 1979. No approach has been received for the temporary use of the property but any such request will be considered.
