asked the Secretary of State for Defence what types of aircraft formed the 13 RAF squadrons used in exercise Ocean Safari 77; and how many of the 13 squadrons were formed of each type.

The 13 RAF squadrons participating on Ocean Safari 77 were made up as follows:

  • 1 squadron Shackletons
  • 1 squadron Buccaneers
  • 2 squadrons Canberras
  • 4 squadrons Nimrods
  • 3 squadrons Vulcans
  • 2 squadrons Victors
