§ Mrs. Bainasked the Secretary of State for Scotland (1) if he will list in the Official Report the firms in each Scottish local government region which went into voluntary liquidation during the last 12 months for which figures are available, 692W giving where possible the number of employees involved in each case;
(2) if he will list in the Official Report the firms in each Scottish local government region which were declared bankrupt during the last 12 months for which figures are available, giving where possible the number of employees involved in each case.
§ Mr. Gregor MacKenzieI understand that the records of the Registrar of Companies show that from February 1977 to January 1978 inclusive there were 67 compulsory liquidations of limited companies in Scotland and 442 voluntary liquidations of such companies. More detailed information could be obtained only at disproportionate cost.
