§ Mr. Matesasked the Secretary of State for the Environment when he plans to introduce legislation which was promised as the second phase following the passing of the Commons Registration Act, in order to carry out the recommendations of the Royal Commission on Common Land.
§ Mr. MarksWork is proceeding on the problems to which the Royal Commission drew attention, but I cannot yet say when it will be possible for further legislation on common land to be introduced.
