§ Mr. Arthur Lewisasked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs whether he will give at 31st January 1978 or the latest convenient date the total number of British passport holders now resident in each Commonwealth country who have the right of entry into Great Britain and who would in addition be allowed to settle in the United Kingdom.
§ Mr. LuardThe only relevant figures available are for citizens of the United Kingdom and Colonies who are patrial and in consequence, under the Immigration Act 1971, have the right of entry and right of abode in the United Kingdom. The following table gives the latest available estimated figures for all Commonwealth countries except Canada, Australia and New Zealand for which territories no figures are available:
