§ Mr. Eldon Griffithsasked the Secretary of State for Transport if he will place in the Library a copy of his 15th December 1977 Press release criticising Suffolk County Council for pursuing bus service revenue support policies of which he disapproves; and why this was issued 14 days before the county council itself received a copy.
§ Mr. HoramA copy of the Press notice, issued on 16th December, is now available in the Library. I regret the delay in the county's receipt of this, but my right hon. Friend's views on Suffolk County Council's proposed transport expenditure in 1978–79, including that on revenue support, were fully set out in the formal decision letter sent to the county on 15th December in connection with the transport supplementary grant settlement.
