§ Mr. Gryllsasked the Secretary of State for Trade whether, as part of the Government's policy on pay sanctions, it is his intention to deny companies facilities 562W under sections 1 or 2 or both of the Export Guarantees Act 1975 and what effect this is likely to have on exports of British goods and services during the current year.
§ Mr. Meacher:It is not-my intention to take account of companies' observance or otherwise of the Government's guidelines on pay when considering whether to exercise the discretionary powers given to me under sections 1 and 2 of the Export Guarantees and Overseas Investment Act 1978.
