§ Mr. Adam Hunterasked the Secretary of State for Energy what action he has taken to maintain burn of coal at Kincardine power station.
§ Mr. Eadie:Within the total of grants now agreed for the National Coal Board for this year the Government are prepared to provide up to £1.5 million in 1978–79 to enable the NCB to offer rebates to the SSEB to maintain burn of coal at Kincardine power station this winter. This is in addition to the £7 million, at 1977 survey prices, which the Government are already making available over five years to support sales of NCB coals to SSEB power stations.
