HC Deb 15 December 1978 vol 960 cc536-7W
Mr. Adley

asked the Secretary of State for the Environment if he will list the number of (a) planning applications and (b) bore-hole tests for oil, which are currently under active consideration in the counties of Avon, Devon, Dorset, Cornwall, Gloucester, Hampshire, the Isle of Wight, Somerset, Sussex and Wiltshire.

Mr. Marks:

None of the counties listed has a planning application for permission for extraction of oil under consideration. Dorset and Gloucestershire each have one application for planning permission for bore-hole tests before them.
