HC Deb 15 December 1978 vol 960 c542W
Mr. Ridsdale

asked the Secretary of State for Transport why it has taken so long to reply to the urgent letters sent to his Department about compensation for the fatal accident on the A604 in the spring of 1978 involving schoolchildren; and if he will expedite his replies to letters marked urgent.

Mr. Horam:

There is no record of any such letters being received in the Department, but if the hon. Member will let me have details I shall have the matter investigated. As the road in question is not a trunk road, no claim against the Department could arise. I have written to the hon. Member about his request for an inquiry into this accident.
