§ Mrs. Renée Shortasked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs why the terms offered recently to Greece for her accession to the Common Market by the Council of Ministers were less favourable than those offered in October ; and whether this represents a policy to keep out poorer countries.
§ Mr. Judd:The Community recently presented proposals to Greece covering agriculture, the transitional period, and social affairs. Proposals in these sectors had not previously been presented by 121W the Community so that comparisons do not arise. There is no change in the Community's policy of seeking to bring the negotiations to a successful conclusion, although specific points of difficulty have still to be resolved in some sectors.
