Public Expenditure White Paper

Mr. Lawson

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer (1) when he expects to publish the public expenditure White Paper;

(2) when he expects to announce the date of publication of the public expenditure White Paper.

Mr. Joel Barnett:

I hope that the White Paper will be published early in the new year. I will announce the date as soon as it has been decided.
