January 1975—September 1978* Improvement notices 20,731 Prohibition notices 8,928 Informations laid 10,582 Convictions secured 9,687 Average penalty per information laid. £84 *Figures for the Agricultural Inspectorate exclude the three months June to September 1978 and, in the case of informations and convictions, the year 1975.
