§ Mr. Merlyn Rees:In 1977, four men were received into prison department establishments in England and Wales with a sentence of more than three months and up to and including six months in default of payment of a fine for drunkenness. Further details of their offences are not available. Their ages were 29, 30, 31 and 38. One was held for 61 days in Swansea, one for 72 days in Birmingham, and two for 23 days in Pentonville.
