§ Mr. Teddy Taylorasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer if he will give an assurance that any sanctions applied to car manufacturers will not be drawn up in such a way that Government Departments and public bodies are obliged to buy cars of foreign manufacture.
§ Mr. Joel Barnett:Every effort will be made to ensure that discretionary action applied to car manufacturers will not lead to additional imports.
