§ Mr. Farrasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department if he will list all increases made since 1968 in those charges referred to in section 5 and the schedule to the Public Expenditure and Receipts Act 1968.
§ Mr. Merlyn Rees:I am concerned only with the fee for the issue of a licence under section 25 of the Burial Act 1857—which is covered by the Fees (Increase) Act 1923. Increases in this fee were made on 1st May 1976, from £2 to £4, and on 1st April 1978, from £4 to £5.
