§ Mrs. Castle
asked the Secretary of State for Employment in respect of how many firms and how many employees the temporary employment subsidy, and supplement, has been paid in the Blackburn area; and what was the cost.
§ Mr. Golding
I regret that information is not available in the precise form requested. As at 28th July TES—supplement is included—had been paid to 59 establishments in respect of 4,003 lobs in the Blackburn area, at an estimated gross cost, including future commitment, of about £3.5 million.
