§ Mr. Lawsonasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer if he will give the dates when he expects that national accounts statistics will first be published at 1975 prices; and if he will in particular state when the constant price data in Press releases of gross domestic product, production and other major aggregates, and economic trends will be based on 1975 prices.
§ Mr. Denzil DaviesAnnual national accounts statistics at 1975 prices will be given in the National Income and Expenditure Blue Book to be published in the first half of September. Corresponding summary quarterly estimates, up to and including the second quarter of 1978, will be issued as a press notice around 19th September. More detailed quarterly national accounts statistics at 1975 prices will be contained in an article in the October issue ofEconomic Trends.
The Index of Industrial Production for periods up to July 1978, rebased on 1975, will be issued as a press notice on 13th September.
Other related statistics, rebased on 1975, will be issued on various dates between end-August and October as they become available.
