Mr. Robert Cooke

asked the Secretary of State for the Environment whether he will list all those public events which took place in the Great Hall of Hampton Court in Jubilee Year.

Mr. Marks

The events were:

  • 25th June—Concert arranged by the Richmond upon-Thames Silver Jubilee Committee.
  • 27th June—Concert by the English Chamber Orchestra as part of the Thames Side Festival celebrating The Queen's Silver Jubilee.

There were no special public events in the gardens of Hampton Court in Jubilee Year.

The events were:

  • 31st January—Religious service by Society of King Charles the Martyr.
  • 7th March—Concert, English Bach Festival.
  • 2nd June—Concert, Royal Philharmonic Orchestra.
  • 15th June—Concert, Bloomsbury Society.
  • 22nd June—Concert, English Chamber Orchestra.
  • August/September—Exhibition in the Crypt by the Association of Civil Service Art Clubs.
  • 19th November—Concert, National Association for Cancer Relief.
  • 22nd November—Concert, City of Westminster Society for mentally handicapped children.

The events were6th July-9th October—London and the Thames Exhibition organised by the London Celebrations Committee for the Queen's Silver Jubilee. 24th November-27th November—Exhibition organised by the Dockland Settlement Board.
