asked the Prime Minister when he expects to be able to reply to the letter dated 12th June from the hon. Member for Woking about the action he is taking to co-ordinate departmental policy on the public purchase of British-made equipment in preference to equipment of foreign manufacture.

My hon. Friend the Under-Secretary of State for Scotland—the hon. Member for Glasgow, Queen's Park (Mr. McElhone)—replied to the hon. Member's letter on my behalf on 28th June. My hon. Friend also replied on my behalf to the hon. Member's further letter of 30th June on 26th July.
