§ Mr. Eldon Griffithsasked the Secretary of State for Defence if, following the scrapping of HMS "Ark Royal", the embarked Fleet Air Arm Buccaneer Squadron that is due to be transferred 614W into an RAF squadron will be based at RAF Honington; and, if so, whether this will require any additional accommodation for personnel, aircraft or stores at this Suffolk base.
§ Mr. WellbelovedIt is not planned to deploy the new RAF Buccaneer Squadron at RAF Honington, although some aircraft will probably be stationed there until the new squadron forms. No additional accommodation will be required.
