HC Deb 24 April 1978 vol 948 cc461-2W
Mr. Churchill

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer, taking February 1976 as 100, what was the index of Great Britain's industrial production in February 1978; and what percentage per annum growth rate this represents.

Mr. Denzil Davies

The only available data relate to the United Kingdom. The all-industries index of industrial production for February 1978, seasonally adjusted and resealed to February 1976 equals 100, was 103.1. This represents an annual growth rate of about 1½ per cent. between February 1976 and February 1978.
